Tokyo!

Quite a few times I've been dragged by my curiosity regarding Tokyo city. Japan is by itself-from my point of view- a weird mixture of creatures...put Tokyo upside-down and I bet you'll find from giraffes alive to a cat dancing with a dwarf in a violin solo...you got the idea, it is interesting to me and Tokyo city it's pinnacle(?).
Anyway, f, this post should be about Tokyo! the movie, the triptych.
Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong JoonHo...
it looks like the line-up at a cafe-bar-bookstore in my idealized Paris -mmm-
I don't know any of these directors, so I would have to check them out.

First part: The tale about the just arrived to Tokyo couple.
Solid, I think it is based on a short story originally based on NYC..not sure though, Cecil at NYC?
Starts to slow, showing you the "vicisitudes" that the "new" couple faces in a cruel Tokyo city, with too many rules, too many fees, too many working hours, and striped from money.
I think the point here is her, as a couple they are ..tired now, later.

the dancing dwarf I

So, I was reading (re-reading to be more accurate) the aforementioned tale, I have it as part of the collection of short stories The elephant vanishes (I love the title..makes me daydream) -by Murakami- , and I wouldn't say that it's my favorite one by Haruki but it has something undeniable special and creepy, there is something alive there. I could be bias of course but I think it relates to me...it gives me that feeling that I have right after waking up from a nightmare, fear?, anxiety?,
ok..maybe i should say that when i read the dancing dwarf..voila dejavu..yes, who hasn't been curious, excited and afraid by nightmares? Well, maybe it's me and not everyone but i'm sure that it please my dark side, the one which enjoys the "morbo" of being scared.
Anyway..I'll tell you about the tale later or maybe I won't.
